Commissioned content: Nine e-learning modules for independent learning that will be published in HTML5. Each module will be a Business Administration scenario based on a different working environment: employment rights & responsibilities; health & safety; security; communication; team work; improving own performance; dealing with problems.
Project contacts: Carolyn Lewis (Vocational Innovations) and Lynette Morris (Chiltern)
Project summary: Business, Administration and Law is currently the most popular apprenticeship framework. Despite this there is little availability of appropriate free resources that providers can map to the curriculum. Chiltern Training’s project will produce e-learning modules in a version to run on removable media to make it as accessible as possible, and for use on PCs and all mobile devices. Each module will be an administration scenario based in a different working environment with different background images and characters speaking a script. Hotspots, hover buttons and clickable buttons will make many of the pages interactive. Each scenario will aim to engage the learner in a story so that they have an incentive to complete the module to find out how the story ends and will finish with an assessment of the knowledge the learner has gained. The modules will be published so that assessment scores can be recorded by an LMS.
