Here are some thoughts from Lewisham Southwark’s Project Manager Jo Burbidge about the learning from the project:

I have been involved in many projects to create eLearning resources and I have to say this one has been the best!  We had a great subject specialist, a dedicated eLearning media assistant and an excellent multimedia developer/adviser.  With these three things in place it made my job as project manager easy.  The support from Jisc has also been superb both from our mentor and the programme manager – the speed of response second to none.  We’re really pleased with the results which besides being downloadable from the Jorum site can be accessed freely from the website we created specifically (using WordPress) for this project:  http://elearning.lesoco.ac.uk/technicaltheatre/


Project summary: Lewisham Southwark College will provide a series of online resources mapped to Units 1 and 9 of the BTEC Level 2 Award in Principles of the Creative and Cultural Sector (QCF) providing an ideal opportunity for blended learning. These resources will be targeted at apprentices in the Technical Theatre area of Creative Studies who learn their vocational skills as part of their placements and come into college one day a week to work on their technical certificate. Our outputs will be a mix of video featuring industry experts and interactive activities including a series of formative quizzes which will be accessible on a range of browsers and devices and made available through Jorum.
